PCI DSS & P2PE Architecture
We understand PCI from both sides, having led the programme that achieved Level 1 PCI DSS certification at Abtran, and more recently having designed the P2PE-compliant architecture for Ireland's Next Generation Ticketing programme.
- Designed PCI and P2PE compliant architecture for NGT covering validators, Kubernetes-hosted cloud services, and payment processors
- Defined namespace structures, pod design, network layout, and Calico security policies for Kubernetes environments handling cardholder data
- Contributed to designs that protect cardholder data across field devices, back-end services, and supporting cloud infrastructure
- Led the PCI DSS Level 1 certification programme at Abtran, covering payment processing systems and organisational controls
- Ensured compliance with secure management of cryptographic devices, keys, and data transmission for ticketing services
